There are two main orchid festivals held in Fort Lauderdale:
The 14th Annual International Orchid & Garden Festival
This festival is held in April at the Bonnet House Museum and Gardens. It features a wide variety of orchid and tropical plant displays, as well as food vendors, libations, garden art, orchid care & general gardening lectures, live music, and a newly added Tropical Luau Lunch.
Fort Lauderdale Orchid Society – Orchid Jungle
This show and sale is held in January at the Charles F. Dodge City Center in Pembroke Pines. It is one of the largest and best juried orchid shows in the country, featuring breathtaking orchid exhibits, exotic orchids and related items available for purchase, and free orchid educational classes.
